About Us

The River Heritage Foundation, Inc. exists for the following: --to promote the efforts of the residents of the Upper Ohio River Valley and visitors in recognizing, communicating and preserving the unique heritage of the Ohio River in areas of commerce and recreation. --to conduct projects and programs designed to educate youth and adults in areas relating to the Upper Ohio Valley's heritage and the impact of that heritage on the culture and history of the region. --to further educate youth and adults in the topics of engineering, science, industry and economics through presentations and events. --to provide children and adults, both residents and visitors to the Upper Ohio River Valley, with a greater understanding of the historical aspects of the Upper Ohio River Valley and its importance in the commercial and recreational development of the region and the nation.
